We all have a dream or goal that we want to reach. Have you ever wondered how you would achieve this? I have wanted to be an entertainer a majority of my life. I was born with wanting to be in the spotlight.
When I entered school, I was bullied and made to feel like I was ugly and worthless. It sucked. It sucks that little children can be so cruel. You think of a child and they're sweet but my memories and past says otherwise. I was skinny, had crooked teeth and a speech impediment. I didn't have the friends that I wanted. I walked most of my path alone and still do because I've learned how to enjoy it and go with the flow.
I was never brave enough to step up and do what Kaitlyn wanted to do. I was too afraid to stand against the bullies and I was too afraid to stand against myself. My fear.
In tenth grade I actually did something related to my passion. I was an extra in a T.V show. It was so exciting and an amazing experience. After that, while I was busting tables in between refilling cups I submitted my photos to angencies and managements. I got some say yes and some say no. Every yes kept me going and for some reason I never acknowledged the no's.
I finally signed with CW Management. Pretty cool, right? eh, that's another story.
My point is, I am now modeling and doing a few acting jobs. It's much fun and it's just the beginning of what my future holds. If I were to have listened and allowed those bullies to get to me, then I wouldn't be loving life.
I'm not saying it's easy. Not at all. What I'm saying is that if you really want something you have to get it. No one is holding it on a plate for you. No one will open the door for you. You have to open the first door. You have to make the first move. You have the ball. Which way you're going to throw it, I don't know. It's up to you.
Do what you love because if you don't, you wont be the happiest you, you could be. I wish you the best of luck in wherever you're heading to. Also, remember it's okay to let your head drop for a second but don't keep it down. There is much to life that you need to see and experience.
